BLAH is back! My podcast discussion of honor, leadership, and morality in Westeros with Stefan Sasse, essayist for The Tower of the Hand, continues this week with a dual focus on what constitutes being a “good ruler” and the possibility (and desirability) of political reform. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are the stars of the show, and thus we heavily reference Stefan’s excellent post-A Dance with Dragons essays on life under those two leaders: The War in the North, The Peace in the North, The War in the East, and The Peace in the East. (They’d make for a heck of a pre-show read if you haven’t already.) But don’t worry, fans of assholes: Tywin Lannister, Roose Bolton, and Cersei Lannister-Baratheon put in appearances as well.
