Honestly? I haven’t the foggiest. I’d always assumed he was mostly around for atmosphere, you know? And that his occasional vaguely prophetic utterance, or his even more infrequent REALLY prophetic ones, were just adding a flavorful dash of the weird. But Mel sees death in his future, and she’s usually pretty reliable in foretelling disaster, though not perhaps the exact nature of that disaster. So I dunno. If I had to guess, though, given her track record, I’d guess that Patchface isn’t the cause of whatever bad shit is in Patchface’s future, that Mel is misinterpreting that element of the vision.
